Wednesday, 27 June 2007 – Sydney – Global automotive industry software application provider, Infomedia Ltd, announced today that it has successfully completed negotiations with Ford Motor Company to renew their North American data license agreement. The agreement which grants Infomedia the right to use Ford proprietary automotive parts data in the production of Microcat®, was last renewed in July 2002. The new agreement commences on 1 July 2007 for a further three years to 2010.

Infomedia first began supplying the Microcat electronic parts catalogue to Ford North American dealers in 1999 and Ford dealers elsewhere since 1991. During that time, Ford dealers around the world have come to rely on the valuable productivity gains that Microcat delivers to their parts selling efforts.

Infomedia CEO Gary Martin said, “We have enjoyed a long and mutually supportive relationship with Ford and their North American dealers for many years now. The continuation of this agreement signals the confidence Ford dealers’ have in the Microcat system as a critical tool in their parts operation. We appreciate the confidence that the dealers have in our products and we’ll continue to add value and improve profitability of their business’ parts operation.”

This agreement follows on from the successful renewal of the Ford Europe data license announced on 1 June 2007 through to 1 July 2010. The Microcat system is currently used by more than 7,500 Ford dealership subscribers throughout North America and more than 53,000 subscribers worldwide.
