We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect- Data Product to lead the design and optimization of our data product’s architecture. In this role, you will serve as the key architect for data solutions, overseeing the integration of advanced data technologies while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building end-to-end solution design for products and applications within data analytics product space.
- Partnering with business, engineering and product stakeholders to determine system requirements and designing fit-for-purpose solutions
- Be a key contributor to the Architecture peer group supporting with their strategy and roadmap
- Design solutions for new initiatives/enhancements with a focus on simplicity and operational integration.
- Review, assessment and governance of application/product solution designs for conformance to architecture principles throughout the project lifecycle.
- Diagnose and solve architecture problems and issues that may arise.
- Act autonomously in dealing with identified issues or deviance from standards.
- Support the adoption of target-state architecture by executing on the strategy for enterprise and digital platforms and systems.
- Alignment to architecture standards and principles to ensure solution decisions are made consistently across the enterprise and in the context of target architectures.
- Improve application/product performance through enterprise solutions and capabilities, Application data security and access control designs
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, database design, and data modeling, with at least 3+ years in a senior or lead role.
- Expertise in enterprise-scale relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Deep knowledge of cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience in migrating and managing cloud data solutions.
- Strong experience in designing and managing data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time streaming systems (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Redshift, Snowflake).
- Proven expertise in data governance, security frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).
- Excellent understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data transformation tools such as Informatica, or equivalence.
- Track record of working with big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.) and delivering large-scale data platforms.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on driving business outcomes through data architecture.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) data architectures.
- Advanced knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for data operations.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala, particularly for data manipulation and processing.
- Certification in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).
